Estate Planning for those Charitably Inclined

Attorney Jessica R. Williams of Robinson Farthing Spandau Williams will walk us through the bequest administration process from a legal standpoint, with insights and charitable strategies that will help navigate and simplify the Probate process.

Jessica R. Williams is a partner of Robinson Farthing Spandau Williams LLC. Prior to relocating her legal practice to the north side in the summer of 2018, Ms. Williams worked with a well-respected south side law firm from 2014-2018. There, she learned from the best in her area of specialty and interest. Ms. Williams’ focus includes Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration– including litigation components, and Guardianships. Ms. Williams attended the IU McKinney School of Law from 2010 to 2013 as a non-traditional evening student. While attending law school in the evenings, Ms. Williams managed two occupations; one as a legal intern at the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council and the other as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at IU Health North Hospital. In December 2013, she completed her law school education and earned her Juris Doctorate as well as a specialty certification in Health Law. Ms. Williams co-authored Behavioral Contracts in a John Hopkins University’s publication, Biology in 2014. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Williams worked as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. She worked in the immunohematology refence laboratory at the Indiana Blood Center and the blood bank at St. Vincent Hospital. She published her first nationally recognized abstract, Serological and Clinical Management of a Bombay Pregnancy, in the American Association of Blood Banks publication Transfusion in 2005. In 2009, she presented Autoantibody in a Post-Transplant Setting, a scientific poster at the regional level at the St. Vincent Hospital Research Symposium. Ms. Williams earned her bachelor’s degree in Science at Indiana State University and her Associates in Arts and Associates in Arts and Science degrees at Lincoln Trail College. She is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, and the Estate Planning Council.  She is a Section Chair of the Indianapolis Bar Association.
