CGP & AFP-IC Spring Conference
Presented by
SUPERCHARGE Your Pipeline with New Donors
Speaker: Aliguma Young, MBA
May 24, 2023
AFP-IC and CGPI are partnering again this year on this half-day conference. Don’t miss out on this great education opportunity. Please register by May 19, 2023.
With the profile of the wealthy diversifying by age, race, gender identity, religion, and nationality it is critical that Planned Giving Officers have the skills and knowledge to cultivate gifts across lines of difference. Organizations not centering equity in the work that they are doing are going to deeply struggle in the years to come especially with the economic challenges ahead, to connect with and inspire deep investments from donors. Now is the time to SUPERCHARGE your pipeline and activate stronger cultivation and solicitation strategies that will increase the efficacy of your fundraising.
Learning Objectives:
● How to identify new “diverse” opportunities to inspire new giving in the work of the organization.
● Utilizing tools to know confidently when and how to make the “ASK” to your new prospects to increase the odds of a “YES”.
● Innovative ways to say “Thank you” (stewardship) that inspires deeper investments.
The Experience: This learning experience is designed to be adaptive for early career planned giving professionals to seasoned fundraising leaders and executives.
Audience Engagement will include:
-real time strategy examples and opportunities to ask specific questions throughout
-turn to your neighbor exercises to reinforce learning
-audience surveys to build community around shared challenges and opportunities
Planned giving is the most deeply rooted in building and expanding relationships for your organization in the future. To prepare for that future we will spend time creating space for you to ask the questions you may not be sure ‘HOW’ to ask and connect with other leaders in your area to build your community of practice. This is not a session to come and listen, but a time to co-create solutions to the challenges YOU face in moving your pipeline forward.
